Part 1: Micropterigidae to Scythrididae
This atlas, published in January 2003 and available now, is a companion volume to the same authors’ “Larger Moths & Butterflies….” and will eventually be followed by Part 2, which will complete the remaining micromoths.
Over 600 species are covered with maps of modern distributions and historical sightings. Details of local foodplants, habitat, life-history and notable sightings are given. The authors have examined old collections and incorporated species from them, sometimes after re-classification of specimens. Five colour pages have 36 pictures of moths, mines and cases.
